One of our shared goals as an organisation is to improve literacy, which we believe is the key to opportunity. We run a variety of literacy projects throughout the year to promote reading and have fun with words.

Blind Date with a Book
Going on a blind date can be exciting but also a bit scary, you are never quite sure who it is you are going to be meeting.
Now imagine instead of a person you are meeting it is a book. A whole new set or characters, story, places. New worlds open up to you, a new book to loose yourself in or even by chance an old favourite to re-discover. All this is possible when you go on a Blind Date with a Book and it is even better when you add coffee and the chance of making new friends or meeting old ones. Real people not just the ones between the pages.
